Domaine Louis Lequin et Fils Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Rouge 2022

A deep and clear ruby red. The nose opens with a bouquet of fresh red berries, raspberry and morello cherry, followed by notes of undergrowth and sweet spices. The wooden ageing brings subtle touches of sweet vanilla and toasted. The tannins are tight, fine and well-polished, they structure the wine without aggressiveness and carry a refreshing acid column that balances the generosity of the vintage. The finish is long and elegant.

Pair with braised veal cheek, duck breast or roasted prime rib, as well as a slightly spicy game stew. It also goes well with grilled mushroom dishes and ripened pressed cheeses.
